Overview of Hisar Railway Station – HSR

Hisar Railway Station is located in Hisar district of Indian state of Haryana. It is one of the main stations serving transportation in North-western India. The railway station is about 164 kilometres from New Delhi. Hisar Railway Station is a modernised railway station including all types of facilities that are essential for the passenger’s comfort. Hisar produces the highest amount of galvanized iron in India because of its steel industry.

Firuz Shah Tughlaq founded Hisar and established a canal system to transfer water from the Yamuna River into the city. Hisar today experiences a continental climate, hot summer and cool winters. It connects directly to Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Delhi. The Gorakhdham Express originates at Hisar Railway Station and reaches New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur, Agra, Gorakhpur, and Lucknow. In 2011, Vivek Express was launched under the leadership of Mamta Banerjee from Jammu Tawi to Mumbai via Hisar.

Overview of Yesvantpur Railway Station Bangalore – YPR

Looking out for a way how to travel from Yesvantpur railway station to metro station in Bangalore city? Are you at Yesvantpur railway station and planning to take a round of the entire city and so? It maintains strong connectivity with all major cities and regions across the country, with a large number of trains running to and from the station.

The railway station features 6 platforms, around 12 dormitories, and 6 non-AC retiring rooms, all available at a nominal charge. Yesvantpur metro station is the nearby station to the railway station. It hardly takes 2 minutes of time to go from the railway station to metro station. It lies at a distance of about 2 kms or 1.2 miles from railway junction to metro station. People can even walk this distance and in about 5 to 10 minutes could be there without any problem.

Indian Railways developed Yesvantpur Junction Railway Station (YPR) to ease congestion at Bangalore City Railway Station. As one of the three major stations in Bangalore, it lies on the Bangalore–Miraj main line, and all Hubli-bound trains halt there. Another line connects Yesvantpur Junction to Yelahanka and Hosur.

An over bridge connects platform 1 and 2. The other connects platform 2 to No. 3, 4, 5, as well as 6 platforms. It has two entrances from Tumkur road and Yeshvanatpur old area. Tumkur road entrance leads to platform 6 from where trains like Yeswantpur – Indore Express, Yesvantpur Puducherry Garib Rath Express, Sampark Kranti, and Howrah Yesvantapur Duronto Express leave. Yesvantpur Junction has 12 dormitories and 6 non-AC retiring rooms available at a reasonable cost. It has an AC VIP lounge, the necessary stalls, an ATM, ramps to reach all platforms for the aged and the physically challenged, computerized booking counters and food outlets.

A Green Line Metro train station just across the station entry on the Tumkur road side helps passengers reach the city. A parking facility is planned by the railways and the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation. A first-floor bridge will connect the railway station and the metro station. There is a plan also for a passenger facilitation centre at the main entry, retiring rooms and food plaza.
