Overview of Balharshah Railway Station -BPQ

Balharshah Railway Station is located in the Chandrapur district of the Indian state of Maharashtra. About Carmelaram Railway Station

Carmelaram railway station or Carmelaram is a small village that is located on the south-eastern corner of the Bangalore city. In the past, it was merely a village inhabited by backward people, but now it is a well-developed suburban area and is a part of Municipal Corporation of Bangalore, which is Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagar Palika. Unlike other suburbs and parts of Bangalore city, Carmelaram is a very calm and quiet place.

For transportation, people from southern and eastern part of the city use Carmelaram or Carmelaram railway station. All the trains that pass through Hosur have a stoppage here. This saves you much time of journey.

Overview of Carmelaram Railway Station:

Carmelaram station is situated in the east corner of Bangalore city between vacant Grasslands and many marble shops. The station is not a very developed station, and when you walk into the station, you get a look of a typical small town, quaint railway station. The steps at the entrance are chipped.

The station has two tracks and two platforms. These platforms are not very high enough to facilitate passenger to board the trains. The length of the platforms is not long enough to accommodate all the coaches of the train, hence people find it very difficult to board trains at this station as most of the coaches stop beyond the platform.

There is no canopied waiting area and there is a lack of proper lighting too. The size of the station is not more than a normal bus shelter in India. When it comes to the number of trains stopping here, there are more than a dozen of trains bound to cities like Salem, Dharampuri, Kannur and Ernakulum have a stoppage here. Most of the passengers from the nearby area like Bellandur, Marathahalli, and Madiwala use this station. Carmelaram station has reduced the journey time for passengers who had to travel to the city station which wasted a lot of time.

There are plans of Indian Railways to make some improvements in the station such as raising the level and increasing the length of the platform along with parking for private vehicles and proper lighting facilities.

Tumkur Railway Station (codenamed TK) is located in Tumkur district of Karnataka, India. Overview of Gaya Railway Station – GAYA

Gaya Junction Railway Station lies on the Howrah–New Delhi Grand Chord railway line in Bihar and comes under the East Central Railway’s Mughal Sarai Division. Two other broad gauge train lines from Gaya lead to Patna and Kiul Junction. The city has another railway station in Manpur Junction. Gaya connects to Patna, Biharsharif, Jehanabad, Rajgir, Nawada, Islampur, and most other states in the country through an extensive railway network. The South Bihar Railway Company operated trains from Lakhisarai on the Howrah-Delhi main line to Gaya from 1900. The Grand Chord was built in 1906.

The Gaya railway station is second biggest and second most important station in Bihar, after Patna. It is served by numerous superfast trains from across the country. This train directly connected with major cities like Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. It is directly connected to Guwahati too. Gaya is well-connected to neighbouring areas too. Over 150 trains pass through the Gaya Junction every day.

As the ancient city of Gaya is a sacred for Jains, Hindus and Buddhists, it is a big tourist attraction. Bodh Gaya, about 10 km from Gaya, is home to the Mahabodhi Temple, where Gautam Buddha attained Enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. National and international pilgrims from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Burma, Tibet, Bhutan and Japan arrive at the Gaya Junction to visit these places.

Railway authorities are upgrading Gaya station by constructing a food plaza, restaurants, and shopping areas to improve passenger amenities. The station currently has nine platforms, and workers are constructing the tenth one. The station has a special platform where pilgrim special trains stop. The junction has two foot overbridges for reaching various platforms, and workers are now constructing a third one.

The Junction offers facilities like computerized reservation, waiting rooms, dormitory, cafeteria, retiring rooms, and a bookshop. The railway administration now has time-bound plans to improve the announcement system at the station, keep the station absolutely clean, build hygienic food stalls, and tone up the passenger reservation system and unreserved ticketing system.

Famous food of Gaya –

Among the typical food preparations of Gaya are marua-ka-roti, pittha, baigan-bharta, pua bari dal, and sattu sukhaota. The blackish marua-ka-roti is made from raagi, has high nutritional contents and dietary fibre. Gaya is the origin of sweets such as kesaria peda, anarsa, and tilkut. Cooks prepare Tirkut from sesame seeds and sugar or jaggery, and make Kesaria peda from khoya, sugar, and saffron. Anarsa is a deep-fried khoya and sugar preparation.

The spicy and sour snacks quite popular among the Gaya people include alu-kachalu, samosa chat, and aalu chaat. Gaya offers a special snack called Sabudana-Badam Bhoonja, made with fried groundnuts, sabudana, salt, jeera, and chili powder. Overview of Delhi Cantonment Railway Station – DEC

Delhi Cantonment Railway Station (codenamed DEC) is the referred to as Delhi Cantt Station. The station is located near Janakpuri region of Delhi. And it is the suburban halt for the trains on the Delhi-Jaipur railway line. This station is built in 1914 and serves the cantonment area. Which houses the Indian Army Headquarters, Defence Services Officers Institute and other reputed institutions. The station is well-connected to various parts of the country. There are express and super-fast trains that cross Delhi Cantt station daily from states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, and others.

The station falls under the administrative control of Delhi division under Northern Railways Zone of Indian Railways. Delhi Cantonment railway station is located at 15 Kilometres from New Delhi station. 6 Kilometres from Chanakyapuri, 17 Kilometres from Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin Station. And 9 Kilometres from Delhi Safdarjung Railway station.

The Cantt station is a popular station in the western Delhi.
