Train journeys are great ways to explore a new landscape while traveling. They have a certain nostalgic appeal that makes travelers often choose train over air travel although the later may be far more comfortable and takes much less time. The same applies to train journeys too, sometimes, as there are still some destinations in the world which are exclusively covered by a train journey. There are, in fact, several amazing train routes in the world.   1. The Glacier Express: Want to go in a train trip to a magical land? Board the Glacier Express. Located in Switzerland and connecting the resorts Zermatt and St. Moritz, this 8 hour train journey<\/a> takes you through the most amazing landscape that you can imagine. There are in total 91 tunnels, 291 bridges and the highest altitude of 6,670 feet (2,033m) in the Swiss Alps. The highest altitude point is called the Oberalp Pass. It\u2019s a journey of steep ascent and equally steep descent, taking your breath away by the breathtaking scenery in the way. Of course, the landscape disappears whenever you enter a tunnel, and there are some quite long tunnels in the way. However, anyone who has traveled anywhere through a tunnel in a train knows how strange it feels. This route gives you an overdose of these mysterious feeling as there are 91 tunnels that you pass through in the 8 hour stretch! You actually pass through the highest Alpine railway tunnel, the Albula Tunnel which is 3.6 mile long and located at an altitude of 5,971 feet (1,820m).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
