As it was under Portuguese culture for a long period of time, it was influenced by Portugal architecture. Let us now look at the top places to visit in Vasco da Gama

St Andrew’s Church

It is located at the entrance of the city. It was built by the soldiers of Adil Shah in 1578 AD and it went on to be reconstructed in 1574 AD. For this reason, the interiors along with the exteriors of the church are fairly simple. It is visited by all the communities as it is one of the oldest churches in the world.

As the artifacts are kept their visitors can have a close look. It is one of the kind’s museums in the entire continent.

Isocheim Beach

It is a small and relatively less occupied when you compare it to other beaches of the state. The best part of this beach is that it has a flat surface and ideal for all water related activities. As commercialization of the beach has not taken place, it is one of the cleanest beaches in the region. With a minimum number of people, when you visit this beach you feel connected to nature.

Japanese garden

Located on the place where Fortaleza Santa Catarina stood, along with ruined walls make a foray into this garden. This garden offers a breathing taking view of the Arabian Sea that is hard to describe in words. A beach is located very close to the garden and it derives its name for the same. Usually empty, the beach offers a wonderful view of the hillside. People come here for leisure walks as the garden is well maintained.
